It’s important to understand that we never charge for anything we offer but we only work with very dedicated, serious actors with the skill sets to perform in the industry as a professional. Your skill set is determined by our coach based on your performance. Of course you must also have the time to shoot films, and the professionalism to show up on time, every time, and complete your commitments.
The Team Approach
We use a team approach to training, casting, and shooting our films. We have three teams and you must be a member of one of them. Those teams do everything in our program on their self-selected days. The current teams are
- Monday and Tuesday
- Wednesday and Thursday
- Saturday and Sunday
You must commit one of these two day series to training, casting, shooting, etc. If you do not fit into one of them then our program will not work for you. You can also change teams when ever you wish as long as you keep all prior commitments on your old team. Actors may train, be cast, and/or shoot on other days as well if and only if they have the time and can keep all commitments. Friday is used by directors on a first come bases for actors that are available.
The Performance Lab
In addition you must perform once a month in our “Performance Lab” that takes place on the last Tuesday of every month 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. This is where all the directors and writers see you perform live to help them make casting and writing decisions.
How do we cast?
Unlike the traditional casting scenario we do not hold auditions to find an actor for a role that has already been written. We expect our actors to motivate us to write roles specifically for them. This means scheduling a live performance in front of the acting group, the writers, and the directors in our program that will inspire us to write a role for you based on he performance we see. This gives our actors tremendous say on how and if they will be cast.
How to become a member?
Once you are a member you can take advantage of all the programs and tools that we offer to the actors. To become a member you must perform a 2-3 minute monologue of your choice in the “Performance Lab” held the last Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM.
